Please note! If you choose a course that is only taught in ITALIAN, a B2 Italian language certificate is mandatory. If you don’t have this certificate, you must pass an Italian language test.

ATTENTION: this admission procedure is mandatory and allows you to obtain the admission to Second Cycle Master Degree Programmes (2-year Master Degree Courses) of Politecnico di Bari.
The admission procedure precedes the enrolment procedure, in order to verify the requirements to get the eligibility to enroll
If you enroll from 1st February 2025, you will be automatically enrolled as a part-time student for the academic year 2024/2025
AVAILABLE APPLICATION DATES
As established by our Senato Accademico (academic senate) - during the meeting which took place on 27th March 2024, the application for the admission requests for Second Cycle Master Degree Programmes (2-year courses) will be possible within the following dates:
- From 26th July to 15th September 2024
- from 1st to 15th October 2024
- from 1st to 15th November 2024
- from 1st to 15th December 2024
- from 5th to 20th January 2025
- from 1st to 15th February 2025
- from 1st to 15th March 2025
- from 1st to 15th April 2025
- from 2nd to 10th May 2025
The procedure on Esse3 platform will be available only in these periods of time, no submissions are possible outside these dates.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Here the “admission requirements” to be verified (in this order):
1.Curricular requirements concerning:
- The possession of the eligible entry qualification (1st cycle Degree or any other achieved and adequate education qualification) defined by the Regolamento Didattico (didactic regulations) of the desired Master Degree course.
- The possession of a specific minimum number of achieved ECTS – this control is carried out on the basis of specific groups of Italian Scientific Disciplinary Sectors (SDS) defined by the Regolamento Didattico (didactic regulations) of the desired Master Degree Course. An examination of the academic curriculum will be carried out for foreign education qualifications.
2. Individual competences and skills suitability: examination of the individual knowledge according to the Regolamento Didattico of the desired Master Degree Course;
3. Language proficiency verification: for all our Master Degree Courses it is required a specific minimum level of English proficiency, which is established by the Regolamento Didattico. IMPORTANT: for non-EU candidates who need a Study VISA for Italy please read art. 6 of our Operational Guidelines for the Admission to Second Cycle Master Degree Programmes in Engineering (2-year courses)

HOW IT WORKS
The candidate submits the application through the dedicated procedure on Esse3 Platform within the section Registrar's Office (Segreteria) --> Admission Test (Test di ammissione/Concorsi) (ATTENTION: check the available dates written within the paragraph “Available application dates” during which you can submit the application) by choosing the desired Master Degree Course (called “Preferenza”) and by uploading the required documents (see paragraph “Application attachments”). Candidates can apply only for one Master Degree Course.
Please Note: once you are in the area " Test di Ammissione/Concorsi" select admission to the two-year master courses. You will not have to click on the course (it is only a link to the course description), but you will have to click on the blue button at the bottom "Avanti", in order to continue the submission of the application.
At the end of the available application period, the Admission Office will elaborate all the application requests through an administrative check:
- on the basis of the provided documents in order to verify the required details by the procedure (completion, suitability);
- on the basis of the defined requirements (see paragraph “Admission requirements”).
APPLICATION ATTACHMENTS
During the application candidates must upload the following mandatory documents:
Valid Identity Document
Accepted identity documents:
- European ID card (accepted only for Italian or EU citizens);
- European driving license;
- Passport (this is a mandatory document for non-EU candidates).
Previous academic career documents
Candidates with an higher-education qualification achieved within the Italian system must provide:
- a self-declaration of their own previous academic career by filling in the self-declaration form. According to the Italian law 183/2011 and its subsequent amendments and integrations, these candidates will not be asked to produce and provide certifications.
- a self-declaration of the high-school diploma is mandatory for candidates who didn’t get their Bachelor Degree qualification at Politecnico di Bari.
Candidates with foreign qualifications are obliged to certify their career by uploading the following documents:
- certificate of their final secondary educational leaving qualification issued by the foreign institution and the official translation (in Italian or in English language);
- Certificate of their 1st cycle academic qualification– including the list of the achieved exams – and the certified translation.

Language Certificates
The required level of knowledge of the English language can be proved through one of these options, if it's required from the Didactic Regulation:
- certificate of English language proficiency recognized by Politecnico di Bari according to the Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR). For certificates issued by the Trinity College, Politecnico di Bari accepts only “ISE” certificates (“GRADE” certificates are not accepted). - English proficiency test at our Centro Linguistico di Ateneo You can find information about dates and modalities within the webpage of our Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (Inglese B2 Lauree Magistrali – Accertamento competenze linguistiche | Politecnico di Bari (poliba.it)
- for Master Degree Courses for which it is required a B1 English level knowledge, candidates must have passed at least one English language exam within the achieved bachelor degree career.
Please note: Language Certificate is an optional attachment. It doesn’t mean that the linguistic prerequisite is not mandatory. It is always necessary in order to obtain the eligibility to enrolment. For whom have taken the test at the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo, it will not be necessary to attach the relevant documentation, the test result will be automatically acquired.
For non-EU candidates who need a Study VISA for Italy: it is possible to upload as well the Italian language certificates.

POSSIBLE OUTCOMES
If the requirements (1, 2 or 3) are not satisfied, the candidate cannot obtain the admission (eligibility to enrolment) and will receive information regarding other possible requirements and steps to fulfil (see Regulations).
The eligible candidate to admission obtains the possibility to enrol for the academic year 2024/2025 for the Master Degree Course for which the application was submitted, according to the procedures published on our official webpage from 20th September 2024 to 20st May 2025

Eligible candidates can enrol to the chosen Master Degree Course from 20th September 2024 to 20st May 2025.

ENROLMENT PROCEDURE
First phase: documents to upload on Esse3 during the procedure
·Electronic passport-type photo
You must upload your photo during the online enrolment procedure. You can find out how to accurately upload your photo here - please, pay attention to the photo content.
·Scanned ID card (PASSPORT is mandatory for non-EU candidates)
You must upload your ID card/Passport in .pdf format within the section “Allegati Carriera” (career attachments) from the Secretariat Menu on Esse3 Platform. The scanned document must show the entire document in just one file.
·Self-declaration of your high school diploma (only for students who didn't get the Bachelor Degree at Politecnico di Bari)
A) Candidates who got the high school diploma in Italy must fill in this self-declaration model. According to the Italian law 183/2011, you don’t have to issue other certificates. You must use the self-declaration provided by the Politecnico di Bari. Pictures/Photos of documents are not admitted. Our offices will carry out controls about the veracity of the self-declared information.
B) Candidates who got a foreign high school diploma must upload the Declaration of Values (Dichiarazione di Valore)
·Self-declaration of the Bachelor Degree (for all candidates)
A) Candidates who got the Bachelor Degree within the Italian education system must fill in this self-declaration model. According to the Italian law 183/2011, you don’t have to issue other certificates. You must use the self-declaration provided by the Politecnico di Bari. Pictures/Photos of documents are not admitted. Politecnico di Bari will carry out controls about the veracity of the self-declared information.
B) Candidates who got a foreign Bachelor Degree must upload the Declaration of Values (Dichiarazione di Valore)
Second phase: enrolment on Esse3 Platform
During this phase, you must submit the enrolment application on our Esse3 Platform. We suggest you to carefully read and follow the instructions of our Enrolment Guide.
PAY ATTENTION: in this phase you will need the abovementioned documents (phase 1).
Third phase: enrolment accomplishment
Payment of the enrolment tuition fee generated within Esse3 Platform at the end of the application (Payments section).
ATTENTION: the tuition fee is the same (136,00 €) for all candidates and it contains:
·Regional tuition fee – 130,00 €
·Virtual stamp – 16,00 €
ABOUT THE PAYMENT SYSTEM - PAGOPA
Payments are carried out through PagoPA system which is an automatic way of payment. This does not mean that the payment method is immediate, as it can take some time. Only when the payment goes through, the red button turns into green.
ATTENTION: the certified payment date must be mandatory within the available dates for the enrolment (20th September 2024 to 20th May 2025). Payments which show a later date, will not be accepted for the enrolment. We suggest you to take into account the required time to carry out a payment through homebanking or any other bank services.
Certification of incomes Certificazione dei redditi (ISEE)
Candidates who enrol, candidates who transfer or candidates who have an active career at the Polytechnic of Bari must obtain the ISEE valid for social benefits for the right to academic study. The ISEE certificate will be collected from INPS database, if the declarant so requests, for students of the Polytechnic of Bari not later than 31.12.2024.
Considering the schedules, it is recommend that you apply for it well in advance.
Tuition fee Regulation 2024/2025 prescribes deadlines and procedures for Certificazione dei redditi (ISEE).
Students who want to graduate in the period 01/01/2025 - 30/04/2025 must obtain the ISEE valid for social benefits for the right to academic study within the same deadlines and procedures prescribe by Tuition fee Regulation 2024/2025 and so not later than 31.12.2024.
